Stroke Coordinator and University of Michigan Alumna Mallory Milavec
Since 2019, Mallory Milavec has served as the stroke coordinator at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. This role has her in charge of managing all aspects of the hospital’s stroke programs, which meet the requirements for Primary Stroke Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center certifications through the Joint Commission. Before joining Ascension, Mallory Milavec provided critical care for neurosurgical and neurotrauma patients at several Michigan-based medical facilities.
In preparation for her career in health care, Mallory Milavec earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Michigan State University. She later earned a master of science in nursing from the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan School of Nursing, she completed academic clinical rotations in vascular surgery, adult palliative care, neurotrauma, and surgical oncology. Her academic accomplishments include earning the Josephine M. Sana Award for humanitarianism and scholarly excellence.
In her free time, Ms. Milavec enjoys cooking vegan recipes and caring for her French bulldog, Rosco. She also owns Heart of Marigold Designs, a jewelry business specializing in handmade earrings.
